The city is laid out along a river, so people walk or cycle. Also, a few days there tends to involve exploring the old town, and crossing the river a lot. In any case, the castle is a good place to start, it is on a hill. So, the rest of the city is fairly flat, making it easy to get around. The city has a university, and that brings a bit of a young vibe, also there are quite a few cafes, and they are nice. The river has a few bridges, and they are worth crossing, because the views are good from them.
It is good to go when the weather is a bit warmer, as the city can be quite cool, especially near the river.
