Ashgabat

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan’s capital, greets visitors with broad avenues of gleaming white marble, towering fountains and a quiet rhythm framed by the arid Karakum desert and the foothills of the Köpetdag range. Its spacious streets, monumental squares and modest museums give a distinctive sense of place.
